Beige outside.
Anything but ordinary.

The color combination caught my attention. The details made me keep coming back: Palm Green upholstery, the Offroad Design Package and the factory rear spare-tire carrier.

01

The green interior

A distinctive factory color that gives this Turbo much of its character. It was a major reason I wanted this particular car.

02

The off-road details

The Offroad Design Package’s unpainted lower trim and textured flares suit the early Cayenne’s purposeful shape.

03

The rear-mounted spare

The rarely optioned factory spare-tire carrier is the finishing detail I kept coming back to.

02 / How it became P10

One conversation.
Years of keeping
in touch.

I wasn’t looking for just another Cayenne. I wanted this one.
01 / THE INTRODUCTION

An Instagram message

I met Dave when he reached out on Instagram about some aftermarket suspension I had for sale. As we talked, I learned about his Cayenne: a Jarama Beige Turbo with a green interior and the factory spare-tire carrier. I wanted it. Dave wasn’t ready to sell.

02 / THE WAIT

Two or three years later

The car had been in a front-end accident years earlier. Dave repaired much of the damage, fabricated a plate-steel front bumper and fitted wheels and adapters so the car could roll around. I stayed in touch for roughly two to three years, occasionally reminding him that I was still interested.

On my way back from Mexico, I told him I was ready to get back into modifying and caring for Cayennes. This time, he was ready to pass the car to its next owner.

03 / THE SECOND BEIGE TURBO

P11 entered the picture

P10 still needed finishing, including a mismatched front bumper. Just as the purchase came together, another Jarama Beige Turbo appeared for sale locally. I bought that car, P11, as a source of matching parts for the green-interior car, rather than waiting weeks for body-shop work.

04 / THE HANDS-ON WORK

Approximately 100 hours

When I received P10, its air suspension had been converted to coil springs and the vehicle-level sensors had been removed. The work has gone well beyond the body panels: suspension, cooling, mounts, hoses, fluids and the small issues that make a car feel cared for.

I’ve now spent approximately 100 hours working through it, with the goal of passing on a car I’ve put real time and care into.

03 / Completed maintenance

The work
behind the photos.

A substantial part of P10’s preparation is underneath the bodywork. These are the replacements and services I’ve completed.

Suspension & chassis

  • Upper and lower control arms replaced
  • New CV axles
  • Aluminum rear control arms installed
  • Air shocks replaced

Engine & driveline

  • Engine mounts replaced
  • Engine torque mount replaced
  • Engine oil changed
  • Transmission fluid changed

Cooling & hoses

  • New oil cooler
  • Radiator hoses replaced
  • New coolant reservoir
  • New PCV and vacuum hoses throughout

Cabin comfort

  • Fresh air-conditioning charge
  • A/C blowing ice cold
Part of this car’s story: P10 had a front-end accident before my ownership and arrived with a prior coil-spring conversion and missing level sensors. The work listed above describes completed maintenance; future Berg and Eurowise upgrades are a separate part of the build plan.

04 / The next chapter

Keep the character.
Build with purpose.

Planned / OEM+

My direction for P10 is an OEM+ build with Berg and Eurowise in mind: preserve the unusual factory specification and make thoughtful improvements around it. The buyers guide covers the current car and that modification direction.

Specific future parts are still to be finalized. Planned upgrades are not represented here as installed equipment or a guaranteed part of the prize.
